Applying for Marriage Certificate
If you are an Afghan citizen residing in Türkiye and have been requested by the local authorities or other institutions to obtain a Marriage Certificate, you can apply through the Consular Section of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Ankara.

Required Documents
The following documents and individuals must be present at the Embassy during your appointment:
1. Proof of Identity
One copy of Tazkira or Afghan passport of both applicants (husband and wife)
One copy of Tazkira or Afghan passport of each witness
One copy of residence permit (ikamet) in Türkiye for both applicants and witnesses
2. Photographs
Two recent passport-size photographs (3×4 cm) of each applicant
Two recent passport-size photographs (3×4 cm) of each witness
3. Witnesses
Two adult witnesses must accompany the applicants at the time of the appointment.
Both witnesses must bring valid proof of identity and photographs as stated above.
Procedure
Upon arrival at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Ankara, the applicants and witnesses will present their documents at the consular front desk.
The Embassy staff will review and verify all submitted documents and proofs of identity.
If all the required documents are complete and both the husband and wife, along with the two adult witnesses, are present, the process of preparing the Marriage Certificate will begin immediately.
Once the certificate is prepared, it will be reviewed, signed, and issued to the applicants.

The service fee for a Marriage Certificate is 50 USD
